A house move is rarely just the furniture. It is the garage, the shed, the attic, and the closing date that will not move even if everything else does.

This is the page for houses, condos and townhouses. Apartments have their own, because in a building the elevator and the paperwork decide the day more than the furniture does. Offices, shops and warehouses have their own page as well. Residential moves are most of what we do, and each one starts with a walkthrough — in person or over photos — so the estimate counts what is actually there. The part people underestimate is never the living room. It is the garage, the storage shelves, the shed at the back and whatever has been in the attic since the last move. Counting it up front is the difference between a day that ends when we said it would and one that does not.

Beds, dressers, tables and anything that has to come apart to clear a doorway gets disassembled by us and rebuilt at the other end. Floors and door frames are protected on both ends. And if your closing date is tight on both sides, tell us: we can load, hold overnight and deliver the next morning rather than making you rent storage for a week.

Questions we get about house moves

Do you move apartments too?

Yes, but it is a different job and it has its own page. In a building the elevator, the loading zone and the certificate of insurance shape the day more than the furniture does, so we plan it differently from a house.

How far in advance should I book a house move?

Two to three weeks is comfortable, and more at the end of the month or in summer, when weekends book out first. If your date is fixed by a closing, tell us as soon as you know it.

What if my new house is not ready on moving day?

We can load, hold the truck overnight and deliver on a second date. It is almost always cheaper than renting storage and paying to handle everything twice.

Do you move what is in the garage and shed?

Yes, and it is worth mentioning when you ask for the quote. Outbuildings are the single most common reason a move runs longer than the customer expected.
